Facing Vienna

Vienna has been my home base for many years. I believe the city has developed in a positive way over the last decades, which is due to the people who reside here. In 2006, I started inviting strangers to the studio and asked them to present themselves as they wished, just in the moment. The original intention was to produce close-ups and provide the same technical settings for all of the images. Over the years, technologies and styles have changed a somewhat but the basic idea remains the same, giving the city a face. It is a personal non-commercial project with an open outcome.
